Last weeklky email my friends. I can’t believe it’s really happening. Each day that passes by I feel normal until a member or someone we are teaching mentions I am going home this week. I guess I’m really about to leave this magical place.
So many miracles and changes have happened in the past 18 months that I feel so blessed to have expericed different things. I had hard moments and joyful ones. I met amazing people I hope to keep in contact forever and some pretty awesome friends. God was good to me to give me amazing companions who taught me great things. Philly has given me a new way of seeing people and their potential.
Our friend Eddy progresses each day and it amazes me so much! We had a lesson with him and our mission president and his wife on Saturday. Eddy mentioned to him he doesn’t have many friends here but that he feels the love from the people we bring into our lessons with him. President Dunnigan let him know they are their friends as well and we could see Eddy’s face light up! President Dunnigan emailed us yesterday to let us know of some people he knows who can also be his friend that are Portuguese speakers around the mission. So sweet.
I’m grateful for the progress I’ve been able to see in Eddy’s conversion the past 2 months. He is my favorite example of how much Christ can change someone from having no connection with our creator to starting to see how he has been blessing his life all along.
It’s sad to say goodbye to so many wonderful people in this area but I am grateful for what they have taught me.
In the past 18 months I’ve learned a lot but mostly how much our Father in Heaven cares for us individually. So much that he gives us our own free will to chose his plans or try to live life without his guidance. He truly is a loving father. I’m grateful for being given this opportunity. If it wasn’t for an angel (or angels) paying for the time I’ve been serving, I wouldn’t be able to grow as much as I have during this time.
Thank you for all your support and I pray that maybe some or one of the experices I’ve shared helped you or had some impact in your life. I know these experiences have impacted me and it was a pleasure to share it with you!
I will see you soon! I love you all!
Sister Santos
We saw our friend Nun Katherine one last time and we had a fun time with her!
Missing you Sister Perez! It was to have exchanges with you!!
And Claire! She is the most amazing 16 year old that I have ever met! This girl has her own online business that she used to save money for her mission! She is also learning Spanish at school and Portuguese with us at the same
time!! She is amazing and I hope to be like Claire when I grow up!
