Hello everyone! What’s new with you? I love hearing what’s going on at home and with your families!
Things are really happening here in Moorestown. While we were teaching english to our friend Leidiene, we felt prompted to share a scripture from the Book of Mormon and she was very interested in it. We explained where it came from and she said, “Oh so it’s another testament of Jesus Christ”. How cool is that?! YES The Book of Mormon IS another testament of JESUS CHRIST. She asked if she could have a copy and when we dropped it off to her, we ended up talking even more about some restored truths of God’s plan for us after this life. She simply agreed to it all and we could feel the spirit testifiing of those things to her. It was very special.
We went to receive Priesthood blessings from our mission president this week. A few other things happened in the apartment, again, that really scared us so we had our zone leaders bless it again while we saw President Dunnigan. What a man. We might be moving to a different place and if we do I just hope it’s around the neighborhood because this is in a perfect location. We are where the Portuguese speaking people are so we kind of don’t want to move. But we’ll see what happens.
We had a first lesson with Ricardo. He messaged our free English classes page on Facebook last week. He still lives in Brazil but is planning on coming to Philly in a year. During the lesson we found out he lives in Feira de Santana, Salvador, Bahia which happened to be Sister Perez first area! His parents live across the street from the church building where she attended. Crazy hm?! He wants to take us to all the tourist places in Salvador when we go visit, and once he’s in Philly, we wants to take us out for breakfast 😄. He’s so nice haha
Life is good and the Lord’s work doesn’t stop. He loves effort and no effort is EVER wasted. Keep loving and keep being awesome!
