A Great Work!!

Surprisingly this week has been a slow one in Moorestown. Most of our lessons canceled but it was a blessing. We did some planning for our Facebook pages and the people we are working with that we haven’t been able to do in the past couple of weeks. We are mostly caught up so 🥳

Ready for this?? Regiane is a friend of ours from when we first opened this Portuguese area. She is special and we could see it in her. She came to church and we had contact with her for two weeks before she stopped responding for the past 4 months. We messaged, called and invited her to activities during that time but no response. Since Sister Perez was leaving this transfer, we decided to message her again asking if we could see her before she left. She quickly answered so we went to see her the day of transfers. We got permission from our mission president to do it. We knocked on her door on Tuesday morning and 30 seconds after she opened it she started crying and telling us how hard it had been these past few months. She said that even though she wasn’t responding to our messages, she was reading them and feeling loved. She often thought of the peace she felt at church when she came months ago and that she knows she needs to be baptized in the church and feel that peace constantly. We said a prayer with her that day and I know Heavenly Father will be preparing her to make it happen. She’s is on date for baptism and I couldn’t be happier for her.

I know God is in control of our lives. The Holy Ghost speaks peace to our hearts. Theres a new song for the youth that I love listening to and pondering on the words.

If you give Him your heart,
He’ll show you who you are
and all His hopes and dreams for you.
And when you follow Him
the great work will begin and perfect love will win.

This is His work and glory,
and He wants you by His side
so He can help you find your place

In this great work that we’ve been given.
This is a part of His grand design.
So don’t be weary.
He will be with you,
and He will lead you through the night”

His work and glory is to see his children happy. Christ said,

3 And this is life eternal, that they might know thee the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom thou hast sent.
4 I have glorified thee on the earth: I have finished the work which thou gavest me to do.

  • John 17:3-4

Christ did his part to give us eternal life. He did the Father’s will by performing the Atonement so we could know of his love. I am grateful to see Christ changing people’s lives here. GOD. LOVES. YOU. AND. JESUS. DO. TOO. 💕

Don’t forget that friends! Have an amazing week!! I love you all!
