Ai ai ai this week has just flown by!
We gave a book of Mormon to one of our friends, Regina. She’s very active in her church but she’s also opened to hear our messages. We also have a new friend, Flavia, who is interested in learning more about our beliefs! She’s super sweet and we will be dropping off a copy of the Book of Mormon to her this week as well. We are helping the 9 year old daughter of one of our English students to read and we had them read from the Children’s book of Mormon with us. It was very sweet. Turns out the word “pillar” isn’t hard for a little kid learning English to say haha. She didn’t even have an accent saying it!!!
We also had a lesson with Christiane on Saturday and she read the Introduction of the Book of Mormon and wants to read it all from the beginning to the end. We promised her she would have a testimony of it if she kept doing it everyday and she accepted the invitation.
We had other friends watch Conference and listen to President Nelson’s talk during the week. People who seemed more closed to our message of Christ that is different from theirs at the beginning, are becoming more opened to our message now and it is a huge blessing to see it. The lord is truly working in these people’s hearts day by day!
There’s this young woman that is absolutely awesome! She’s shy but the girl knows more of what she wants to do at 16 than I was 4 years ago lol. She has her own business and already saved enough money from it to pay for her mission!!! I love talking to her and she will do great things! She also mentioned she wants to learn some Portuguese to be able to talk to our inactive members her age, so we will be helping her with that!
Miracles are happening and the Lord is working on people’s hearts everyday. I’m glateful to be here and for the few weeks I have to be here!
