Our Nun Friend and Broken ACs

You guyssss let me tell ya! The Lord blesses his children in his own timing and I am so excited!!

Miracle numero 1: Regiane. She’s related to this other girl and her mom who we’re also helping out with english and they are all awesome! After 5 minutes of getting to know her, she told us of a friend who really needs to feel Christ’s love. We asked if she would like to participate in the lessons with her and she said absolutely! She really opened up to us about her life struggles and in the middle of tears she said, “I don’t know why I am crying. It’s not tears of sadness, they are tears of joy and peace but I don’t know how to explain it better”. We told her those feelings were the Holy Ghost speaking to her.

22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith,
23 Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law. (Galatians 5)

She invited us over to eat cake yesterday. Brazilian carrot cake is SO YUMMYYY. We met her husband and her little girl. We talked about the Book of Mormon and how it came to be. Gave them a copy and a kids version of it. Can you believe she started reading it to her daughter right there as we talked to her husband?! So exciting. They are planning on coming to church with us in the next few Sundays. I’m sure the Lord has great plans for them!

Miracle numero 2. Just before we started to leave Regine’s house yesterday, her neighbor’s daughter came to play and we got to meet her a bit. This girl is 13 years old and loves religion. Regiane said she would take her to our church when they go!

Miracle numero 3. A day after our english class with Regiane, we got a call from an unknown number who turned out to be another friend of hers that was interested in learning english as well!

Miracle numero 4. This one doesn’t involve Regiane but it was pretty cool as well lol. We went to drop off a Bible to Rudio. Aparently he has been trying to have a Bible shipped to him in Portuguese for a few months but it never came. When he saw our free Bible add, said it as a sign from God. After talking to him for a bit he expressed he wanted to check out an american church (we happen to have one!!) So we invited him and even gave him a Book of Mormon. He was very interested in reading the introduction and Joseph Smith’s testimony with his wife!

God is good. These experiences only make me so much happier to be serving here. They are my people. They have been prepared to hear about the restored gospel. I am humbled to be seeing the spirit work in the people here. I know our prayers and fasting are being heard and seen by my Heavenly Father. Also, thank you for all those who pray for the missionaries. We can feel the power in your prayers and we truly apreciate your faith 🧡

Stay awesome everyone. The Lord knows your struggles and your successes and wants you to invite him to be part of it all!

Love you all!

  1. A Bible!
  2. Sometimes we do service at a food Pantry kind of place and this is our nun friend! She’s super sweet and funny!
  3. We basically call the mission office every week with something new. Sometimes it’s our car, the house, debit card, you name it! This time was our 10 year old ACs that were leaking in the house. We took it apart with our house coordinator on the phone just to end up ordering new ones. Fun timesss
  4. We found this couple dancing in a parking lot when we got lost in our area.
  5. 5&6. I love these cute sisterss. They always help us out with our pages ❤❤
