Fun fact that isnt very fun, I GOT TRANSFERED! The AP’s called us on Tuesday letting us know we should pack because on Thursday we would be getting “doubled out” (when both missionaries have to leave the area). So little time to say goodbye to the people I love the most. It’s sad but I had so many wonderful memories and things I learned from the people I taught and served with in the Morisville Ward. Leaving the people I loved without a single last hug was heart breaking and I didn’t expect to have cried at every phone call we made but hey, I did, and it’s ok! The people there are special and I couldn’t have asked for better people to meet!
Sister Fauset was also transfered to a new area and I will miss that woman dearly. Before I met her I got a priesthood blessing to have some guidance for the transfers that I would be training her, and in the blessing the elder mentioned that her and I would be good life long friends. I can say that the past 11 weeks with Sister Fauset were amazing! Full of good laughs, some tears and lots of unique memories that we shared. I love her and I will miss her. But I know she will be doing wonders in Pottstown!
My new companion is Sister Horner! We served around each other for a trasfer while I was in Newark, DE and once upon a time, we prayed to be companions one day and our prayers were answered!! She is wonderful and incredibly sweet! I’m excited to be serving with her. Do you want to know another thing I’m excited about? WE HAVE A COUCH!!! I haven’t had a couch where I lived for the past 9 and a half months and now I apreciate having one so much more!!! The things you learn on your mission lol.
But anyways, General Conferece was the BOMB and focused on one of my favorite topics: The Restoration of the Gospel of Jesus Christ! I loved Sister Bonnie H. Cordon’s talk about light and how much we need to pay attention to the people that go through life with us!
Sometimes we are the ones carrying the light of Christ with us and we know the path that leads to home, but at other times, we may be the ones being led by those to have the light. I want to invite you to think, which one do you fel like you are at the moment? How can you find the balance of taking and giving light? I’ve been thinking about it this week and I got to reflect and thank my Heavenly Father for the different moments I had to receive and give light to the people in Morrivillen
I am in Jersey y’all!! So far I’ve been to almost all the states the mission boundaries cover. All I need is to find a way to hit the little piece of New York lol. Anyways, I’m in Woodstown, New Jersey, and let me tell ya, it’s kind of sketchy looking down here but I’m excited to meet the crazy ones that missionaries talk about all the time. Quarantine is keeping me inside for now but I’m excited to have my people contact once this craziness is over!
This is getting long, anyways. I love you all! Hope you had a wonderful past couple of weeks with listening to our wonderful church leaders and also remembering our Savior this Easter Sunday! I know he lives and that we commemorated his resurrection this wonderful season because he showed us the way to live and have joy in our lives. He is the living water (John 4:9-14) and only through Him we can have everlasting live!!
Stay safe and stay awesome!
