Mission & COVID are not a match but we are surviving…

Hi friends!!! What a crazy world we are living in right now, isn’t it?! I hope everyone is being safe and using common sense in how to go about protecting yourselves from the Corona Virus!

Most of you already know about the new changes the church has put out not only for the church as a whole but also for the missionaries. Good friends of mine are going home from where they are serving and I am still here not sure of what is going to happen exactly in our mission… But I am incredibly grateful for the wonderful general authorities we have in this dispensation. The prophet and his apostles are truly in tune with the Lord to help us be ready for the things this world brings. Modern revelation is real and it is a miracle and a blessing for our uncertain times!!

Well, missionary work is all over the place in the moment and we are still trying to figure out what to do in Morrisville where we can still be productive but also being careful contacting people. It’s funny how the members have us over for dinner a lot here in Morriville but lately they have been bringing food over to us lol Gotta stay safe and I don’t blame them.

Anyways, things have been interesting lately with lots of cancelled appointments and multiple video lessons. I am grateful for having this option to keep bringing the gospel to people. We did have a one on one lesson this week with our sweet friend Ewelina. She called us for the first time over a week ago asking to have a church tour because she is interested in learning more about different religions. She is amazing you guys!! She loves Christ and she is the sweetest and the most amazing investigator possible! She has great questions about the things we teach her and I know that the spirit is working through her. She gave us a little prayer box because she saw it and thought of us ❤. She is amazing.

We also got to have our last activity night with the youth for our missionary month project, since we won’t be having it for a while… But it was great! We brough two elders who pretended to be non members to be taught by the kids as a group, so we split them into two groups of fitfteen kids. It was such a precious moment for me to hear them testifying and sharing personal experiences with them. I am always so surprised with the youth. One little boy shared such a special thing that I absolutely loved. He told one of the elders that he is grateful for his parents for showing him the importance of religion and having Jesus Christ as the center of his family by being in a part member family. I love this youth and the love they have for Christ. We won’t be finishing our missionary month as far as we know but I am grateful to have seen the spirit working in these kids so far. They will be great members and followers of Jesus Christ in their future and I can’t wait to see where they will go!

Families are important to our Heavenly Father. I have no doubt of it. I hope you all are staying united and using the time you have with your families to share your love and care for each other. To grow spiritually and to think outwards to help those you care about. Yesterday we went out singing in the doorsteps of a few families and friends of this wonderful family in our ward. It was special to see how simple it is to bring Christ to those we care about. He is the light we need in moments of distress.

I love my Savior and I love this work and I can’t wait for this craziness to end! Have a great week with enough toilet paper, handsoap and handsitizers! 😉 I love you all!

Ps: Oh yeah, by the way, President Dunnigan called and he has been making some changes in missionary companionships all over the mission and sister Fauset might leave me…. not sure if she will yet but we are still hopeful
