What a week. Phew! So many great things!!

I absolutely love the youth in the Morrisvile ward. They impress me every week with something new! Since we are having the youth help us prepare for the activities for the missionary month we asked them to reach out to us and they did! I wish I was more on top of things when I was a youth like they are! Love them all.

Another big and great thing we did this week was go to the Priesthood Restorstion Site!! What a place and what a blessing to be able to go there again. I know that the Pristhood (The Power of God on Earth) was restored by the hands of ancient prophets in the bible to Joseph Smith and Oliver Cowdery in the Early 1800's. I know it because it is by this amazing power that I was baptized and confirmed in the church. Now I get to feel my Heavenly Father's love and guidance in my life. I love church history, not a surprise for most of y'all, something said while we were there is that "church history is so important and it should never be forgotten". I pondered about it this week and I came to the conclusion that I am part of church history!! My ancestors may not have crossed the plains as the pioneers did but I do have great parents who are the pioneers who chose this gospel in my family. Their conversion started their journey and my journey to learn and receive personal witnesses of God's goodness and direction to his Faithful servants. And I was able to feel the this week.

Just yesterday actually, I felt like the day would be different somehow. I heard one of the modern day apostles, President Oaks say to the youth of the church not to wonder but to listen and that "The Lord doesnt shout, He whispers". We stopped by some people after dinner who were not home, which was a bit discouraging as usual. On the way back home I had the name of this family come to my mind and I wondered if we should stop by them or not. It felt like it would he a good idea and my amazing companion trust me on that one. The moment we stepped in the door you coul tell something was wrong. We came to find out there was a horrible car crash with 4 deaths infront of their house this weekend and that the brother saw it all and tried to help with no success. We were able to comfort them and offer our support and the ward's support as well. Thinking about it after the fact, I know that my Heavenly Father made me a simple instrument in his hands that night.

I know that my redeemer lives and that we are not alone in this life. I know that God is never away, he may be seemingly silent but he is constantly aware of our trials and tribulations. I know that the power to heal, to comfort and to bless is on earth today because it was restored to the Prophet Joseph Smith. I have felt it and I can't deny it. In the name of Jesus Christ, amen.
